Hi coyotos team,

As said in the title, I'm quiet new to coyotos. I knew it by the
GNU/hurd a few weeks earlyer but didn't test it.

Now, as a Master student, I have a training course to do in a
laboratory (team : http://mescal.imag.fr/). I asked them to deal with
user land drivers and they said : ok, but network card with user level
networking in mind. I think Coyotos could be a nice start and perhabs,
they'll like it and work on it :-).

So, I made my firsts tests on gentoo, I had some problems with global
variables (COYOTOS-XENV, COYOTOS-ROOT, ...) and passed the problems by
modifying the makefiles.
Everything compiled, I tryed to boot the kernel with no success, the
system just loaded the kernel and rebooted.
But I didn't realy try to understand the thing (just copied the
coyotos image in /boot, added a entry in the grub.conf (menu.lst)).
I think I've done something bad, I'll search the doc during the week...

Here's ending my presentation.
Maybe, I'll have to write some drivers (for the intel e1000 first), is
there somewhere to send them ?
Is there a project to make a drivers server ?

I've seen some mails about xen support on this mailing list, is there
any news about it ?

I hope I haven't made to much mistakes, everyone (I think) knows how
bad French student are in English ;)

Fred
