That's a good point. It may even be something that we can sensibly get
OSDoc to generate automatically.

So here is something that I actually don't know how to do: put both the
mathml and the image inline, with the intent that the image should be
displayed only as a fall-back. I know how to do that with various sorts
of EMBED and OBJECT tags (but that's not XHTML), and I know how to do it
with javascript (but that's the work of the devil).

Is there a way to do this?
