Jeroen:

I've done a hand-integration of your patch. The patch was well done and
complete, but I felt that clarity could be improved in some places and I
found a way to get arithmetic operations accepted by the linker script
mechanism (which was a pain).

Nice work!

Can you please look at my changes to transmap.c with a very critical eye
and confirm them? It is altogether possible that my translation of your
work wasn't entirely right.
