[coyotos-dev] Opinion wanted on ccs-xenv

Most of you probably never see the ccs-xenv tree, but I'ld like a sense
of preferences on this.

The gcc binary tarballs are huge, and I'm sure that this makes
downloading and updating a pain in the neck. Speaking for myself, I
would prefer to store them in unpacked form.

The problem is that we need to make sure they do not change, and running

	./configure;make distclean

in the gcc tree does NOT return the tree to an unmodified state. I only
figured out today how to work around this.

So: would people prefer to see these unpacked, or should they stay as
they are?

Or should we leave these alone for now, but unpack new tarballs in the
future as we move forward to newer compiler versions?
