[coyotos-dev] GC as a helper process

I suspect that garbage collecting could probably be implemented, in a
system like EROS or Coyotos, not as a runtime library but as a helper
process.

Such a GC process would receive a capability to memory regions to be
garbage collected and needed scheduling capability.

I suppose most parts of a typical runtime library could as well be moved
into many small helper processes of this kind.

Has this kind of layout already been tried and studied?

Curiously,
Pierre
