I had not seen that issue. Adding ACPI to Xen is a SoC proposal, so
things may improve this summer.

I can understand that. Suspend divided my laptop's boot time by a factor
of 4 approximately (and brought shutdown time to 12s...), and CPU
scaling made it stop cooking what is next to the fan. ;-)

So I wouldn't want to lose ACPI on my laptop myself.
