One of the things I love about Vandy is his unfailing ability to expose
me when I ask the wrong questions.
Concerning BSP parameters, I can definitely see that the physical memory
layout and the wiring relationship between devices and interrupt pins
needs to be exposed to application level. The first because drivers need
to be able to get DMA pages, the second because associating interrupt
lines to drivers is a user-mode matter.
Concerning the interrupt controller question, I need to back up and go
into this in a little more depth in order to clarify the question, so
I'll open another subject line on that topic.
